Opening Day Is Here

Opening day is finally here! All of us hunters have been waiting all summer for this day to finally come. The leaves are turning and the frost is finally on the ground. That means that the deer are running around the woods being chased down by us hunters. This season means so much to me. It means that I can spend time with my family and friends and share with them the excitement in every one of my hunts. I have prepared for this all summer and now it is finally here.  I feel bad for the people that do not hunt and also know me. This is because they will not see me that often and the times they do see me I will be talking about hunting. This time of year is a good year. Because of hunting there are less people on the streets causing crimes and because of generous hunters there are less people in the United States starving. You can also donate some meat from your kill. All you have to do is ask your local butcher how to do so.  I cannot wait to get out of school so I can get right into the woods and into my stand. I have no idea what deer I will see. I may see deer that I have never seen there before and I may also see deer that I know are already there. I also haven’t made up my mind on what to shoot if I see it. I don’t know if I will shoot a little 4 pointer or a big doe if I get the chance. If I shoot the little 4 pointer then I will be forced to pass on a bigger deer if I see one. I will keep you guys updated on how each day in the stands goes. Good luck this year to everyone entering the woods for another year so if it’s brown it’s down.
